Necromancer Build – Best Skills, Gear, Gems & Attributes For Necromancer Class

Are you looking for the best Diablo Immortal Necromancer Build? We’ve got your back.

The Necromancer is one of the best classes in Diablo Immortal and one of the most popular. Simply because it is perfect whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. With it you can keep your distance and attack your targets in safety, whilst your summoned minions keep their attention (and damage).

Many beginners prefer them as they can inflict high damage but also keep out of the way of harm.

Like with any class, the class is only as good as the build. Follow the best Diablo Immortal Necromancer Build below and you’ll learn;

  • What attributes to focus on
  • What skills you should get
  • The best gear to use
  • What gems to get
  • Where to spend your Paragon points.

So, let’s get on with the guide…

Best Diablo Immortal Necromancer build

The great thing about the Necromancer built in Diablo Immortal is the flexibility of the role. You can either decide to focus on damage and go full DPS or move into a more supporting role.

Typically I focus on pure DPS but this build has been designed so that you can do both. It makes an ideal solo build as you have the damage but at the same time extra protection due to the Bone Armor Skill.

It also makes a great solo build as it focuses on summoning allies to help, making it a very powerful Minion Mastermind Necromancer build.

Don’t just look at the skills, the gear is going to make a big difference to your Necromancer build. You see gear can change your abilities, you’ll notice even bigger changes when you get your legendary gear.

Talking about gear and skills, let’s have a deeper look into the best Diablo Immortal Necromancer build.

Best Diablo Immortal Necromancer attributes

It’s important that you focus on the right attributes, the most important being intelligence. For this Diablo Immortal Necromancer build, id focus on attributes in the following order;

  • Intelligence
  • Vitality
  • Willpower
  • Fortitude
  • Strength

Since the Necromancer is a spell based class, you want to focus on Intelligence as your primary attribute.

When looking for gear, you want to prioritize gear that gives you additional Intelligence.

Since the Necromancer build is a summoning build, its your minions that take the majority of the damage. This does make your actual character a little weak when it comes to taking damage.

A good option is to add some points into Vitality, as this will help give your more life which will help with your survivability.

Strength is the main attribute for melee classes, so putting points in this would be a waste. I’ve seen some put points into strength as they think it will increase DPS…It wont! Don’t put any points into this attribute.

Best Diablo Immortal Necromancer skills

Best Necromancer Skills

Your skills are going to make your Necromancer a force of destruction. Below are my recommended skills for a powerful Diablo Immortal Necromancer Build;

  • Soulfire – Unlocked at Level 1
  • Command Skeletons – Unlocked at Level 1
  • Corpse Explosion – Unlocked at Level 3
  • Bone Armor – Unlocked at Level 41
  • Command Golem – Unlocked at Level 50

Getting the right skills is important as its what you’ll be using to attack your enemies. Remember, your gear will also slightly change your skills. The ones recommended below, will make them even better and stronger.

Soulfire

The first skill you’ll get and use is Soulfire. This is your go to damage dealer and will allow you to destroy your enemies, whilst a safe distance away. This ability will be your primary skill, all the way to and beyond level 60.

Command Skeletons

One of the benefits of Diablo Immortal Necromancer is the ability to summon minions. With this skill, it does just that.

And what’s even better, is that you have it right away.

Every 8 seconds you’ll raise a skeleton to come and help fight with you.

Initially you’ll have a maximum of 2 skeletons. With certain gear, this can increase. This skill is great as the skeletons will attack nearby enemies, which will free you up to attack from a distance.

Corpse Explosion

Corpse explosion is a skill you get at level 3 and the name fully describes it. It makes all of the dead enemies explode. The great thing about this is that it damages all living enemies nearby.

Bone Armor

Now there are a number of skills that will come before Bone Armor, but this is one that you really want. Initially it’ll give yourself and your minions some additional armor.

It however gets a lot more powerful when you combine it with the Covet Nothing chestpiece. This gives it the additional ability to damage nearby enemies and cause them to take more damage for a short period after.

So as you can see, it’s worth the wait!

Command Golem

The last skill to get in this Diablo Immortal Necromancer build is Command Golem. It doesn’t unlock until level 50 but can really power up your team of minions.

It basically allows you to summon a Golem to fight alongside your skeletons. Although it is a lot more powerful, not only does it attack your enemies but can also stun them.

Best Diablo Immortal Necromancer gear

Necromancer Gear

Let’s get straight to the point, gear is going to make a big difference to your Necromancer. So the best gear would be;

  • Head – Visitant’s Sign
  • Shoulders – Rotspurs
  • Chest – Covet Nothing
  • Legs – Graven Bulwark
  • Main Hand – Desolatoria
  • Off Hand – Baleful Trinity
  • Set – Shepherd’s Call to Wolves

The gear above is very much late-game gear, well past level 60. Until that point, you’re going to go for more common gear, but focusing on the main Intelligence attribute.

Late game gear is very important. It doesn’t just give attribute bonuses but it also helps to slightly alter the above skills, to make them even more powerful.

Visitant’s Sign – Headpiece

Visitant’s Sign is a legendary helmet that’s very useful to Necromancers. When equipped your Golem will remain for 30% longer, giving you even more protection. Once the gear is awakened, the cooldown of Command Golem is reduced by 10%.

Rotspurs – Shoulders

Corpse Detonation can be a very powerful skill, the shoulds Rotspurs makes it even more powerful. The initial ability replaces the skill with a new one. It not longer causes the corpses to explode but they instead release a blight. This is powerful as it causes poison, which results in on-going damage.

Awakening the shoulders then increases the damage done by an extra 10%.

Covet Nothing – Chest

If you focus on PVE then Covet Nothing is a great chestpiece to get. It changes how the Bone Armor ability works. First of all it removes the ability to shield party members, however it also damages all nearby enemies and increases the damage they take for a period of time.

Once awakened it then decreases the cooldown of Bone Armor by 10%

Graven Bulwark – Legs

Graven Bulwark are just for Necromancers and help to enhance your Bone Armor skill even more. It increases the duration of Bone Armor by an extra 30%. Not only that but once awakened, like Covet Nothing it decreases the cooldown by 10%

Desolatoria – Main Hand

This main hand weapon helps to make your Command Golem even more powerful. It basically will now summon a molten golem to fight the enemies. It does this by burning all nearby enemies.

Baleful Trinity – Off Hand

If you’re wanting to run an effective Necromancer build, you’re going to want Baleful Trinity. Your main attack skill is going to be Soulfire, which is enhanced by this offhand. What it does is basically causes Soulfire to bounce to an additional target, so you’re basically attacking two at the same time.

It does deal 30% damage to the next target, but that extra hit is going to be very useful.

Best Necromancer gear set – Shepherd’s Call to Wolves

Diablo immortal Necromancer

Now for your gear set, which is your Neck, Rings, Hands, Waist and feet. You’re going to want to get Shepard’s Call to Wolves set. This to me is the best gear set for an effective diablo immortal necromancer.

The aim of this set is to increase the amount of damage your summons do.

With the set, as you get more pieces you get additional bonuses.

  • 2 Sets – Summons deal 15% more damage
  • 4 Sets – You gain Critical Hit Chance by 3% for each of your summons. (Up to 18%)
  • 6 Sets – Summons become frenzied for 10 seconds when they do a critical hit. This state will increase attack speed and damage by a massive 100%

Best Diablo Immortal Necromancer gems

With so many gems available, it can be tough to know which ones are best to use in your Necromancer build. I’ve split these up into sections, first we’ll start with the normal gems and then go into legendary.

Best Normal Gems for Necromancer in Diablo Immortal

You may or may not know but when it comes to normal gems, you have two types of red, two types of blue and two types of yellow.

These normal gems are for your Shepard’s Call to Wolves set. (Ill go through your legendary gear in a minute.)

Each one having a different effect or buff.

Below I’ll show which ones I’d recommend going for.

  • Red Gems – Tourmaline (This will give you a nice damage buff)
  • Blue Gems – Sapphire (Get a nice Armor Penetration buff)
  • Yellow Gems – Go for the one with the highest level.

Best Legendary Gems for Necromancer in Diablo Immortal

Now when it comes to your legendary gear, you want to socket legendary gems.

When it comes to these gems, they offer some really impressive buffs and bonuses. The better they are, generally the harder they’ll be to get.

I’ve provided a starter legendary gem list. These are gems that are a 1 or 2 star. I’ll then share my recommendation on the 5 star IE the best legendary gems for your Necromancer.

These are going to be harder to get but are well worth it.

Best Starter Gems for Necromancer

  • Berserker’s Eye
  • Ca’arsen’s Invigoration
  • Chained Death
  • Everlasting Torment
  • Fervant Fang
  • Zod Stone

Best Legendary Gems For Necromancer

Out of all of the gems, the following are the best for a Diablo Immortal Necromancer Build.

  • Blood-Soaked Jade – Increase damage by up to 8% and increase movement speed
  • Seeping Bile – 4% chance to poison enemies. Inflict more damage and watch the poison spread to other enemies when that one dies.
  • Freedom and Devotion – Summon duration lasts an extra 8%
  • Zwenson’s Haunting – Summon a dark beast that attacks all enemies.
  • Echoing Shade – Get a 15% chance to summon a Shadow Clone. This lasts for 8 seconds
  • Follower’s Burden – For each summon you control, get an extra 1%. (Max of 6%

There you have it, fairly simple but very effective.

Diablo Immortal PVP Necromancer build

The above Necromancer build is good for PvE, however if you want to do PvP then you might want to make some adjustments.

Most things will stay the same, however the skills and gear will be slightly different.

These skills are more offensive and dont really use summoning minions as much. This is simply because most PvPers will kill them fairly quickly.

The best skills for Diablo Immortal PvP Necromancer Build would be;

  • Bone Spear
  • Bone Spikes
  • Bone Wall
  • Corpse Lance
  • Wraith Form

Now when it comes to gear, I would go for;

  • Head – Hideous Dawning
  • Shoulders – Chasm-Crosser
  • Chest – Exhumant’s Backbone
  • Legs – Sacral Chausses
  • Main Hand – Blight Maw
  • Off Hand – Pyre’s Allure

The great thing about this PvP Necromancer build is that it focuses on stunning, slowing or taking control away from your enemies. Although it does also help to support allies as well.

FAQ

Is the Necromancer right for me?

That’s a tough one to answer, as it all depends on what style of play you prefer. A Necromancer is not ideal for anyone that likes to rush straight in and fight. It’s basically a magic user that summons undead minions.

Sending these minions into battle and dealing damage, whilst also acting as a shield for you.

So if you want to control legions of undead, explode corpses, cast bone spells or curse your enemies then a Necromancer might be just what you’re looking for.

Is the Necromancer good this season?

Yes, the Necromancer is very good this season and previous seasons. In fact it’s one of the most popular and is said to be one of the best solo classes in the game.

I would say that it’s in the S-Tier if you were to rank  all of the classes based in the current season.
