One of the first and probably one of the most important quests to do in Disney Dreamlight Valley is finding the Royal tools. You’re going to need to find these Royal Tools if you want to fish, farm and mine. All 3 of which are very important for completing further lessons as well as making Star Coins.
Luckily this is one of the first quests you get from Merlin, although they may not be the easiest to find.
This is because there are no clear instructions on where you find them. You pretty much have to wander around until you spot them.
I wanted to write this guide on how to find the royal tools, just in case you’re finding them too hard to find.
Where to find the Watering Can in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
I’m embarrassed to say that the Watering Can was the last one I could find and it took me a while to…Even though it’s probably the easiest.
This is why I wanted to share this one first…
It’s the easiest because it’s at your house. A place, even at the start of the game you’ve spent a decent amount of time at.
Simply go to the right side of your house (if facing it) and you’ll see some barrels, its hidden just behind them.
Where to find the Shovel in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Shovel is the next easiest Royal Tool to find in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
If you’re exploring the Plaza, you’ll naturally come across it. Even more so if your removing all of the vines.
It’s to the right of your house and past the Well. Just keep going east.
You’ll notice a large building that looks pretty run down. This is Chez Remy’s Kitchen.
The Shovel is just on the ground.
Now you have the shovel and the watering can, you can start farming and doing some of the quests for Mickey Mouse.
Where to find the Pickaxe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Next up is the Pickaxe.
Now you might already have this one, as there is a bit of a clue to its location.
If not, don’t worry!
From the location of the shovel, simply head south. You’ll come across a large collection of rocks and lodge in them is the pickaxe.
Now that you’ve got the pickaxe, you’re able to clear the rocks out of your way. Make sure you also mine the black rocks on the cliffside, these can provide you with gems that can sell for some decent Star Coins.
Where to find the Fishing Rod in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The fishing rod will always be the last of the Royal Tools you can get. It’s the only one located in peace Meadow and this area can only be unlocked once you break down the rocks with the pickaxe.
If you head down from where you got the pickaxe and head south, you’ll come across a large lake. There are three lakes all together in this area, you want the biggest of the three.
To the south of it, you’ll come across a fishing rod.
When you go and take it to Goofy, you’ll find out that its broken. The good news is that Goofy can fix it and he gives you his spare one…Which happens to be the Royal Fishing Rod.
With the fishing rod, your now able to fish in the lakes. Fish can be used for food as well as being sold at Goofy’s stall for some decent Star Coins. You’ll also use it to get seaweed for crafting in later quests.
