There are some crafting materials that are very rare in Final Fantasy 16 and one of those is Electrum. You’re going to want to get it as it’s needed to craft Drakeslayer’s Belt, a very powerful accessory for Clive. If you’re here, no doubt you’re wondering “How to get Electrum in Final Fantasy 16?”.
I wondered the exact same thing.
It’s rare because it can only be found on one monster that can only be found on the hunt board.
Below, i’m going to show you exactly where to go to get Electrum and how to defeat the monster that’ll drop it for you.
Final Fantasy 16 Electrum location
Electrum is dropped by Severian, you get access to this hunt after the “Fire and Ice” main quest. Severian is a B Rank monster, so might be a little challenging compared to some of the previous hunts.
As well as dropping Electrum, this monster will also give you;
- 70 Ability Points
- 20 Renown
- 800 XP
- 8500 Gil
You want to head to Martha’s Rest and head west. You’ll find Severian north of Sorrowise.
Below is an image showing its exact location;
Tips For Beating Severian
Severian can be a tough monster, as it has some abilities that can kill you in just one hit. This Notorious is a B rank monster that is level 31.
It’s not the fastest monster, so you will want to use dodge as much as possible. If you dont, you might find its projectile attacks will damage you by 50%.
Since you’ll be dodging a lot, you want to perform as many precision doges as possible. Combining this with the Berserker ring will give Clive a massive boost in attack.
You want to start the battle with full potions and high potions. If you dont, you could do the trick where you die and retry. You’ll have full potions and it wont cost you anything.
Now in order to get it down as quickly as possible, you want to get it staggered.
Wind blast, gouge are excellent to use to get the stagger bar down.
I’d also recommend combining this with Fire Blast and Thunderstorm.
These will also get the stagger bar down but cause a decent amount of damage.
As soon as its staggered, use your limit break and cause as much damage as possible.
Why Get Electrum?
As mentioned Electrum is one of the rarest crafting materials, but why would you want it?
If you want to get the Drakeslayer’s belt, you are going to need it.
You get the blueprint to make this belt by completing the Blacksmith’s Blues side quest.
This is a great mid game accessory. Giving you a defense of 74 and HP of 23.
As well as Electrum, you’ll also need;
- 1 Dragon Talon
- 20 Briar Clam Shell
- 1 Scarletite
Final Thoughts
Have you been wondering how to get Electrum in Final Fantasy 16? Hope the above article has helped answer that question.
There’s only one place that you can get it and that’s by killing the notorious mark Severian.
This monster might be a bit of a challenge but with a good bit of dodging and some powerful attacks, it shouldn’t be too much of a challenge.
