Looking to learn how to get Copper Bar in Palia? To get Copper Bars you need to mine copper ore and use your smelter to turn it into bars. Before you can though, you need to get the recipe from Hondari for 50g.
Simple right? To be honest I wondered for ages how to get copper bars. Simply because I didn’t read the mail and had no idea I needed the recipe.
Why Do You Need Copper In Palia?
In the early levels, copper is an important ingredient in Palia. You’re going to need them to craft new items but to also upgrade your current tools.
Luckily copper is easy to get since its so essential. Just mine Copper Ore nodes, use your basic smelter to turn into Copper Bars.
If you want even more details, this guide will go through where to find copper ore and a detailed look into how to make copper bars.
Where to Find Copper Ore In Palia?
Now you know why you need Copper, next you need to know where to find the copper ore.
Luckily Copper Ore can be found all over Kilima Valley in Palia. However in order to mine, you’ll need to get a Makeshift Pick from Hodari.
Copper Ore looks slightly different to normal stone, as it has brown/bronze stones on it.
You’ll also notice different sized nodes. The bigger ones are going to give you more Copper Ore, although you should mine any that you see.
Copper Ore is essential for crafting, however you can see individual ores for 4 Gold. (Which is not bad in the early stages)
NOTE: Copper Ore is only found on the first map, you won’t see any on any other zone.
Where Are The Best Places To Get Copper Ore In Palia?
As you can see from the map below, there is a lot of Copper Ore around Kilima Valley.
There are four routes that I tend to focus on. These areas have the most concentrated amount of Copper Ores.
I’ve numbered them. I’d focus at number 1 and if that’s busy then I’d go to number 2 and so on.
The four areas that I focus on for Copper Ore are;
- Whispering Banks
- Remembrance Gardens
- Leafhopper Hills
- Mayor’s Estate
If you wanted to do a complete run of the entire map for Copper Ore, I would start at the Whispering Banks near your house.
I’d then go around the outside and then following it around the Mayor’s Estate, through Remembrance Gardens, through Leafhopper Hills and then back round to Whispering Banks.
How to Make Copper Bars
You’ll probably already have the basic smelter and using it to craft stone bricks, this is also used to turn the Copper Ores into Copper Bars.
In order to get the Basic Smelter you need to be level 2 in mining. You can then purchase the recipe to that as well as the recipe to smelt Copper Ore.
A smelter has a low requirement when it comes to resources.
You’ll need;
- Stone x40
- Flint x6
- Sernuk Hide x3
The recipe for the smelter also costs 100 Gold.
In order to produce one Copper Bar you’ll need to use 5 Copper Ores. Each Copper Bar will take 3 minutes to produce.
If you’ve been farming ore then I recommend putting it into the smelter before you log off.
This is because it takes real life time, so when you log back in you’ll have lots of Copper Bars waiting for you.
Final Thoughts
You should now know that to get Copper Bars in Palia, you first need to collect copper ore. Once you have that, get a smelter and smelt the ore down into bars.
In the early game you’ll need a lot of copper, luckily there is plenty available.
As you get into further into the game, you’ll need less and less copper. I still mine it whenever I go past, it’ll help a little towards leveling up your mining.
Not only that but selling the copper bars could add to your gold reserves. Which you’re going to need plenty of!
