Palium Ore is a current end game material that is mined in Palia. Its the next ore that can be mined after Iron.
Like other ores, you can smelt it into Palium Bars.
These are then used to upgrade your tools to Exquisite level.
Since Palium is rare, this also makes it valuable. You can therefore make a lot of gold by selling it in the shop or the trading chest outside your house.
With it being rare, it’s not the easiest ore to find.
The aim of this guide is to show the best ways to get Palium in Palia. Sharing the best farming locations.
Where To Find Palium Ore in Palia: Best Farming locations
Palium ore can be found by mining Palium nodes in Bahari Bay. The best location for them is in between Hideaway Bluffs and Windy Ruins, as there are a number of spawn points.
You can spot the Palium Ore as it looks similar to other ore, except for the blue/white crystals.
As mentioned before it is very rare.
In Bahari Bay, Iron ore has 126 spawn points. Palium only has 18.
To reach the best place to find Palium Ore, you want to head towards the bottom right of the map. You can get there by following the cliffs towards the bottom.
You’ll come across an area that has a number of pools and ruined buildings, plus a few holes in the ground. This area is also excellent for hunting Sernuks.
Below is a map of this exact location;
Before you head out to farm Palium, make sure your pickaxe is upgraded to as high as you can get it. (You need to be at least level 6)
You also want to make sure you’ve got plenty of inventory space.
Other Palium Ore Locations
You’ll also be able to find Palium Ore in the following places;
- South of Flooded Fortress
- North of Flooded Fortress
- Pavel Mines
- Thorny Thicket
- Proudhorn Pass
I personally wouldn’t recommend doing a route for Paliam ore, like you would for other ore.
Simply because there are only 18 potential nodes.
Some of the spots towards the top of the map only have a couple of spawn points. It’ll take more time traveling up to check if it spawns.
Your best bet is to just go to the one area and stay there. You could hunt Sernuks whilst you’re waiting.
Increase Palium Spawning
Did you know that you can increase the spawning of Palium Ore? You need to get yourself onto another server.
I would go to the area above and run through the spawn areas to see if any Palium has spawned.
Once you’ve gone through it all and hopefully mined some Palium. Quit the game and load it up again.
When you log in, you’ll be on a different server.
Go through the spawn areas again and rinse and repeat.
After some time, you should have a nice collection of Palium Ore.
Using a Ore Compass
Once you hit level 8 in your mining skill, you’ll be able to craft the Ore Compass. This will help you to detect rare ores.
It’s not a cheap recipe at 2,500 gold, but its worth it.
It allows you to track rare ores for 15 minutes, this is both Palium and Iron.
In order to make the Ore Compass, you’ll need;
- 1 Iron Bar
- 1 Silver Bar
- 5 Stone Bricks
Since it does track Iron as well as Palium, I wouldnt just follow it blindly.
I would only use it in areas that you know Palium spawns.
Tips For Mining Palium
- If you mine Palium, bear in mind that it’ll take an hour of real life time to respawn on the same server
- Speed up grinding Palium by logging off and on again to join a new server
- Get a Standard Pick Axe and be level 6 in mining to get Palium Ore.
